Where can i watch the bills game is a question many Buffalo Bills fans are asking as the 2026 NFL season moves into its third week. The Bills played the Detroit Lions on Thursday, September 17, with the game carried nationally on Prime Video, while Buffalo’s next scheduled game is against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, September 27, at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
The viewing options change depending on whether the Bills are playing on Thursday night, Sunday afternoon, Monday night or another nationally televised window. For fans in the United States, the broadcast network and the viewer’s local market determine the easiest way to watch.
The latest schedule confirms that Buffalo’s Week 3 matchup against the Chargers will be shown on FOX. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.
Where Can I Watch the Next Bills Game?
The next scheduled Buffalo Bills game is against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, September 27.
Here are the confirmed details:
| Game detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Matchup | Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills |
| Date | Sunday, September 27, 2026 |
| Kickoff | 1 p.m. ET |
| TV network | FOX |
| Venue | Highmark Stadium |
| Bills radio | 97 Rock |
| Game type | 2026 NFL regular season, Week 3 |
The Buffalo Bills’ official schedule lists FOX as the television network for the Chargers game. The NFL’s Week 3 schedule also lists the matchup for 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
That means viewers in the Bills’ local broadcast market can watch the game through their local FOX station. Fans outside the local market have additional options, including NFL Sunday Ticket for eligible Sunday afternoon games.
Bills vs. Chargers: How to Watch on FOX
FOX will carry the Bills’ Week 3 matchup with the Chargers.
For viewers who receive a local FOX station through cable, satellite or a live-TV streaming service, the game should appear through the local FOX affiliate serving their market.
The most important distinction is location. NFL Sunday afternoon games on CBS and FOX are distributed locally in the markets where those games are being shown. A viewer who receives the Bills-Chargers broadcast on local FOX does not need NFL Sunday Ticket to watch that local broadcast.
YouTube TV also provides access to local FOX broadcasts where available through its television plans.
Fans should check their local listings closer to kickoff because local channel availability can vary by ZIP code and television provider.
Can You Watch the Bills Game Without Cable?
Yes. U.S. viewers have several ways to watch NFL games without a traditional cable subscription.
For the Bills’ upcoming Sunday afternoon game, the primary requirement is access to the FOX broadcast in the viewer’s market.
Possible options include:
- A live-TV streaming service carrying the local FOX station
- YouTube TV where local FOX is available
- FOX’s streaming options for eligible local broadcasts
- NFL Sunday Ticket for qualifying out-of-market Sunday afternoon games
- An over-the-air antenna when the local FOX affiliate broadcasts the game and the household can receive that station
YouTube TV states that its service provides local and national NFL broadcasts, including games shown on FOX, CBS, NBC, ESPN and NFL Network.
This makes a live-TV streaming service an option for viewers who want access to their local FOX affiliate without maintaining a traditional cable package.
What Is the Best Option for Out-of-Market Bills Fans?
Fans who live outside the Buffalo television market face a different situation.
If the Bills game is not being shown on the viewer’s local FOX station, NFL Sunday Ticket is the relevant service for Sunday afternoon games carried by CBS and FOX.
NFL Sunday Ticket provides access to out-of-market Sunday afternoon regular-season games. The package is available through YouTube and YouTube TV.
For example, a Bills fan living in a different NFL market may not receive the Buffalo game on that area’s regular FOX broadcast. In that situation, the game can be available through NFL Sunday Ticket if it qualifies as an out-of-market Sunday afternoon matchup.
There is an important limitation. NFL Sunday Ticket does not replace local broadcasts. If the Bills game is already being shown on the viewer’s local FOX station, the local broadcast is the applicable option.
NFL Sunday Ticket also does not cover every NFL game. Nationally televised games and certain exclusive broadcasts remain outside the package.
Can You Watch the Bills on NFL+?
NFL+ provides another option, but fans need to understand its viewing restrictions.
NFL+ offers live local and primetime regular-season games on phones and tablets. It does not provide live out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. Those out-of-market Sunday afternoon broadcasts require NFL Sunday Ticket.
That distinction matters for the Bills’ schedule.
The September 17 Bills-Lions game was a Thursday Night Football matchup. NFL+ listed the game as available on mobile, while Prime Video carried the national broadcast.
For the upcoming Sunday afternoon Bills-Chargers game, an out-of-market fan should not expect NFL+ alone to provide the live game.
NFL+ Premium does offer full and condensed game replays after games, along with NFL RedZone and other features.
Where Can I Watch the Bills Game on Thursday Night?
The Bills’ most recent game provides a clear example of how the NFL’s broadcast system works.
Buffalo hosted the Detroit Lions on Thursday, September 17, in the first regular-season game at the new Highmark Stadium. The game was scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET and was carried nationally by Prime Video.
The Bills also confirmed a local television option for the Buffalo market. WKBW, Channel 7, ABC, carried the matchup locally, while Prime Video provided the national streaming broadcast.
Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football coverage is available across the United States to viewers with an Amazon Prime account.
The NFL’s official Thursday Night Football schedule lists the Bills-Lions matchup as a Prime Video broadcast. NFL+ also provides mobile access to Thursday Night Football games.
That game is now part of the recent Bills schedule rather than an upcoming live broadcast, but it illustrates why the answer to a Bills viewing question can change from week to week.
How to Watch Bills Games Throughout the 2026 Season
Buffalo’s 2026 schedule includes games across several television networks and streaming platforms.
The current schedule includes FOX, CBS, ESPN, NBC, Prime Video and Netflix, depending on the week and broadcast window.
Some confirmed examples include:
| Week | Opponent | Date | Time | Network |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Houston Texans | Sept. 13 | 1 p.m. ET | CBS |
| Week 2 | Detroit Lions | Sept. 17 | 8:15 p.m. ET | Prime Video |
| Week 3 | Los Angeles Chargers | Sept. 27 | 1 p.m. ET | FOX |
| Week 4 | New England Patriots | Oct. 4 | 1 p.m. ET | CBS |
| Week 5 | Los Angeles Rams | Oct. 12 | 8:15 p.m. ET | ESPN |
| Week 6 | Las Vegas Raiders | Oct. 18 | 4:25 p.m. ET | CBS |
| Week 8 | Baltimore Ravens | Nov. 1 | 1 p.m. ET | CBS |
| Week 9 | Minnesota Vikings | Nov. 9 | 8:15 p.m. ET | ESPN |
| Week 10 | New York Jets | Nov. 15 | 1 p.m. ET | CBS |
| Week 11 | Miami Dolphins | Nov. 22 | 1 p.m. ET | FOX |
| Week 12 | Kansas City Chiefs | Nov. 26 | 8:20 p.m. ET | NBC |
| Week 14 | Green Bay Packers | Dec. 13 | 8:20 p.m. ET | NBC |
| Week 15 | Chicago Bears | Dec. 19 | 8:20 p.m. ET | CBS |
| Week 16 | Denver Broncos | Dec. 25 | 4:30 p.m. ET | Netflix |
The schedule also includes later games whose exact dates, kickoff times or broadcast assignments can be subject to NFL scheduling procedures.
Because the network changes from game to game, Bills fans should check the current schedule before each matchup rather than relying on the previous week’s viewing information.
Bills Games on CBS and FOX
Sunday afternoon games involving Buffalo can appear on either CBS or FOX.
The network depends on the NFL’s broadcast schedule and the conference affiliation of the matchup. Buffalo’s 2026 schedule already includes both CBS and FOX games.
The Chargers game on September 27 is scheduled for FOX. The following home game against New England is scheduled for CBS.
For viewers with traditional television service, this generally means checking the local FOX or CBS channel before kickoff.
For viewers using streaming television, the same local affiliate availability matters.
YouTube TV says its main service carries local and national NFL broadcasts, including FOX and CBS where available.
Can You Watch the Bills Game With an Antenna?
An over-the-air antenna can be another option for fans who receive the local broadcast station.
If the Bills game is being carried by a local FOX or CBS affiliate and that station broadcasts over the air in the viewer’s area, an antenna may provide access without a cable subscription.
Availability depends on the viewer’s location and the strength of the local station’s signal.
This option is particularly relevant for Sunday afternoon games because Buffalo has several games scheduled on FOX and CBS during the 2026 regular season.
Fans should verify their local FOX or CBS affiliate before game day.
What About Bills Games on Prime Video?
Prime Video is especially important for Buffalo fans because the Bills have a Thursday Night Football appearance on the 2026 schedule.
The Week 2 matchup against Detroit was scheduled for Prime Video at 8:15 p.m. ET.
Prime Video’s NFL role is different from Sunday afternoon FOX or CBS broadcasts.
A fan does not use NFL Sunday Ticket to watch a nationally televised Thursday Night Football game on Prime Video. The national streaming rights determine the appropriate platform.
The Bills’ schedule also contains other nationally televised games later in the season, including ESPN, NBC and Netflix broadcasts.
What Time Is the Next Bills Game?
The next scheduled Bills game is Sunday, September 27, against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium.
For viewers in other U.S. time zones, that means:
- Eastern Time: 1 p.m.
- Central Time: Noon
- Mountain Time: 11 a.m.
- Pacific Time: 10 a.m.
The NFL’s official Week 3 schedule lists Chargers at Bills for 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
The Buffalo Bills’ own schedule also lists FOX as the broadcast network and 97 Rock as the radio broadcast.
Where Can I Watch the Bills Game on YouTube?
YouTube has become an important part of NFL viewing because NFL Sunday Ticket is available through YouTube and YouTube TV.
NFL Sunday Ticket is designed for out-of-market Sunday afternoon games that are carried on CBS and FOX. It can be purchased as an add-on to YouTube TV or as a standalone YouTube Primetime Channel.
The distinction between YouTube TV and NFL Sunday Ticket is important.
YouTube TV provides local and national broadcasts included in the service’s channel lineup. NFL Sunday Ticket adds eligible out-of-market Sunday afternoon games.
A viewer who already receives the Bills game through a local FOX station does not need Sunday Ticket specifically for that local broadcast.
Does NFL Sunday Ticket Include Every Bills Game?
No.
NFL Sunday Ticket focuses on out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. It does not include nationally televised games or local broadcasts, and it does not cover every type of NFL game.
That means Bills fans may need different viewing options during the season.
For example, the Week 3 Chargers game is scheduled for Sunday afternoon on FOX. An out-of-market fan can use NFL Sunday Ticket if the game is not being shown locally.
A Thursday Night Football game, meanwhile, uses the applicable national streaming platform rather than Sunday Ticket.
The same principle applies to other nationally televised Bills games later in the season.

What Bills Fans Should Check Before Kickoff
The Bills’ broadcast destination can change with the schedule, so checking the latest listing before each game is important.
For the next game, the key information is straightforward:
Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills
Sunday, September 27, 2026
1 p.m. ET
FOX
Highmark Stadium
The official Bills schedule currently lists those details.
Fans watching from the Buffalo market should look for the local FOX affiliate. Fans elsewhere should check whether the matchup is being carried locally. If it is not, NFL Sunday Ticket is the relevant option for an eligible out-of-market Sunday afternoon broadcast.
NFL+ is useful for fans who want mobile access to eligible local or primetime games, but it is not a substitute for Sunday Ticket when a Sunday afternoon Bills game is out of market.
The most recent Bills game was the September 17 Thursday Night Football matchup against Detroit, which was carried nationally on Prime Video. Buffalo’s next scheduled appearance moves back to a Sunday afternoon FOX window against the Chargers.
Keep checking the latest Bills schedule before kickoff so you know exactly where to watch the next Buffalo game.
