- Thursday through Saturday: 10 a.m. to midnight
Ticket sales and entry end one hour before the fair closes.

Current general parking costs are $18 per vehicle from Monday through Thursday and $22 per vehicle from Friday through Sunday. Motorcycle parking is $13.
Parking does not come with general admission. Visitors must pay separately for their vehicle.
Accessible parking is available in the fair parking areas. Those spaces are also first-come, first-served.
The fairgrounds sit at 640 S. 84th Street in West Allis. Major highways provide access to the area, including Interstate 94 and Interstate 41.

Public transportation has changed this year
One of the key transportation updates for the 2026 fair involves special shuttle service.
Milwaukee County Transit System is not operating special State Fair Freeway Flyer service this year because of staffing shortages. Regular transit routes continue to serve areas near the fairgrounds.
The Waukesha County State Fair Shuttle also is not operating in 2026 because of a driver shortage.

Saturday, August 8, features country singer Bailey Zimmerman at the Bank Five Nine Main Stage.

Reserved tickets for the performance range from $87 to $110. The concert venue opens for seating at 6:30 p.m.
The concert ticket also includes State Fair admission for August 8 when the ticket is purchased before entering the fair.
The performance is one of several major concerts scheduled during the 2026 event.

The Bank Five Nine Main Stage has a broad lineup covering country, hip-hop, pop, rock, Christian music and other genres.

SpinCity offers rides and games
Visitors looking for amusement rides can head to SpinCity.
The 2026 area features more than 40 rides and more than 25 games.
Ride and game tickets are available digitally, while unlimited-ride wristbands are also offered.
Individual rides and games require different numbers of tickets. Visitors planning to spend several hours in SpinCity can compare the available ticket options before making a purchase.

America 250 Wheel reaches 230 feet
One of the major attractions this year is the America 250 Wheel, presented by Meijer.
The observation wheel stands 230 feet tall and features 45 gondolas. Each gondola can hold up to six people.
The wheel provides views extending as far as 14 miles under suitable conditions.
The ride costs $7 per person when purchased onsite during the fair.
It is located on Main Street near Entrance C.
Riders must meet the attraction’s height requirements. Children between 32 and 42 inches must ride with a supervising companion taller than 42 inches. Riders at least 42 inches tall can ride without that requirement.
Sensory-friendly SpinCity morning scheduled
The fair is also offering a sensory-friendly SpinCity morning on Monday, August 10.
The program runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
During the event, the fair will reduce lights, sounds and non-safety announcements where possible.
No separate registration is required, and visitors do not need an additional ticket for the sensory-friendly period.
Some sounds and announcements will remain because of safety requirements.
