Who is benny blanco? As of the latest update, Benny Blanco is an American record producer, songwriter, musician and music executive best known for creating major pop hits and for his marriage to singer and actress Selena Gomez. Born Benjamin Joseph Levin on March 8, 1988, in Reston, Virginia, Blanco built his reputation behind the scenes before becoming a recording artist in his own right.
His career includes songwriting and production work with artists such as Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Maroon 5, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Halsey, Sia and Selena Gomez. He later expanded his career into solo music, record-label entrepreneurship, television and publishing.
Blanco’s public profile changed significantly after his relationship with Gomez became public in 2023. The couple became engaged in December 2024 and married in September 2025. Today, his identity is defined by both a highly successful music career and his life with Gomez.
Who Is Benny Blanco?
Benny Blanco is the professional name of Benjamin Joseph Levin, an American producer, songwriter and musician who has helped shape some of the most recognizable pop music of the 21st century.
Blanco began making music at a young age and developed an interest in hip-hop and beat-making while growing up in Northern Virginia. He eventually moved toward professional production and songwriting, where he worked with producer Dr. Luke early in his career.
That experience helped Blanco enter the mainstream music industry. He became involved with songs associated with major artists and eventually developed an extensive catalog of production and songwriting credits.
Rather than becoming famous initially as a performer, Blanco established himself as a behind-the-scenes hitmaker. His credits include songs associated with Katy Perry, Kesha, Britney Spears, Maroon 5, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber.
He later stepped into the spotlight as a recording artist. His 2018 album FRIENDS KEEP SECRETS featured collaborations with artists including Halsey and Khalid. He continued releasing music and eventually collaborated professionally with Selena Gomez on the 2025 album I Said I Love You First.
Blanco has also received major industry recognition. His songwriting and production career has resulted in numerous awards and Grammy nominations, while his work has generated an enormous commercial footprint across pop, hip-hop and contemporary music.
How Old Is Benny Blanco?
Benny Blanco was born on March 8, 1988. As of September 2026, he is 38 years old.
His birthday places him under the Pisces zodiac sign. Blanco entered the music business as a teenager and spent years developing his production skills before becoming one of the industry’s most recognizable hitmakers.
His age is especially relevant when looking at the length of his career. Although many casual fans became familiar with him through Selena Gomez, Blanco had already spent well over a decade working with major musicians before their relationship became public.
By the time he became a household name outside the music industry, he had already accumulated years of experience writing, producing and developing artists.
Where Is Benny Blanco From?
Benny Blanco is from Reston, Virginia, a community in Fairfax County near Washington, D.C. His upbringing in Northern Virginia is an important part of his personal story because he did not begin his career from an established position in the Los Angeles or New York entertainment scenes.
Blanco has described himself as a kid from Virginia who became deeply interested in music at an early age. His family encouraged that interest, and music became increasingly important to him as he grew older.
He eventually traveled to New York to pursue opportunities in the music business. Those efforts helped him connect with producers and songwriters who became important to his professional development.
Although his career eventually took him into the center of the entertainment industry, Reston remains an important part of the story of how Benny Blanco got started.
Benny Blanco Height
Benny Blanco’s height is commonly listed at approximately 5 feet 5 inches, with some entertainment databases giving a measurement around 5 feet 5¼ inches, or roughly 1.66 meters.
However, height is one of the biographical details that does not appear to have a widely cited official measurement from Blanco himself. For that reason, the commonly published figure should be treated as an estimate rather than a definitively confirmed statistic.
His appearance has occasionally attracted online discussion, particularly because he is frequently photographed alongside Selena Gomez and other celebrities. Still, his physical height is a minor detail compared with his much more significant professional accomplishments.
The safest description is therefore that Benny Blanco is generally reported to be around 5 feet 5 inches tall, while noting that publicly available listings are not completely consistent.
Benny Blanco’s Music Career and Biggest Achievements
Blanco’s career is unusual because he became successful primarily as a songwriter and producer before establishing himself as a recording artist.
His early professional development was connected to producer Dr. Luke, and Blanco eventually became involved with some of the biggest commercial pop records of the late 2000s and 2010s.
His songwriting and production credits have included major songs involving artists such as:
- Katy Perry
- Britney Spears
- Maroon 5
- Rihanna
- Ed Sheeran
- Justin Bieber
- Halsey
- Kesha
- The Weeknd
- Sia
- Selena Gomez
Among the songs associated with his career are Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” Britney Spears’ “Circus,” Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger,” Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” and other commercially successful recordings.
Blanco also created and operated record-label ventures, including Mad Love Records and Friends Keep Secrets. These businesses gave him another avenue to develop artists and participate in the music industry beyond individual songwriting sessions.
As an artist, he became known for collaborations rather than the traditional singer-songwriter model. “Eastside,” featuring Halsey and Khalid, became one of his best-known solo-era releases.
His ability to work across genres has been a major reason for his longevity. Blanco’s credits span mainstream pop, hip-hop, R&B and contemporary crossover music.
Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez
Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez first became publicly linked in late 2023, although they had known each other professionally for years before beginning a romantic relationship.
Their relationship quickly attracted substantial public attention because Gomez was already one of the world’s most recognizable entertainers, while Blanco had an extensive career in the music industry that was sometimes less visible to casual fans.
The couple announced their engagement in December 2024. Their relationship subsequently moved from celebrity dating news to marriage when they wed on September 27, 2025, in Santa Barbara, California.
Their wedding was a private celebration attended by family and prominent friends. Gomez shared photographs from the occasion, confirming the marriage publicly.
By September 2026, Blanco and Gomez are approaching their first wedding anniversary. Their professional relationship also remains significant because the two collaborated on I Said I Love You First, making their partnership both personal and musical.
Who Is Benny Blanco Married To?
Benny Blanco is married to Selena Gomez.
The couple married on September 27, 2025, after becoming engaged in December 2024. Their relationship began publicly in 2023, although their professional connection dates back further.
Gomez is an accomplished singer, actress, producer and entrepreneur. She became famous as a child performer before rising to global prominence through Disney Channel, music, film and television.
Blanco and Gomez have also worked together creatively. Their collaborative album I Said I Love You First gave fans an opportunity to hear the pair working together as recording artists.
Their marriage also changed the way many people searched for Blanco online. Someone who had previously been known mainly within music-industry circles became increasingly searched for as Selena Gomez’s husband.
Even so, Blanco’s professional career predates his relationship with Gomez by many years, and his songwriting and production catalog remains the foundation of his public career.
Benny Blanco Parents
Benny Blanco’s parents are Andrew Levin and Sandra Levin. He was raised in Virginia and has spoken warmly about the influence his family had on his early interest in music.
His parents were reportedly enthusiastic about music and introduced him to different sounds while he was young. Blanco has credited his family environment with encouraging his creativity.
His older brother, Jeremy Levin, was also influential in his early musical development. Blanco has recalled going to record stores with his brother, helping reinforce his interest in music.
His father, Andrew, worked in the apparel business, while his mother, Sandra, worked in an assisted-living setting. Blanco has frequently spoken affectionately about his mother and has described their relationship as particularly close.
His parents later divorced, but Blanco has continued to maintain relationships with both sides of his family. They have also been part of important moments in his adult life, including his relationship with Gomez.
The story of Benny Blanco’s parents is relevant because his career did not begin with a famous family name or an established entertainment-industry background. His early interest in music developed within his family and eventually became a professional career.
Benny Blanco Net Worth
Benny Blanco’s net worth is widely estimated at approximately $50 million in 2026, although there is no publicly audited personal financial statement confirming an exact figure.
Celebrity net-worth estimates should therefore be treated as approximations rather than official financial records. Blanco’s wealth has been built through many years of songwriting, production, publishing, music releases, label ventures and other entertainment activities.
His catalog is particularly important to his financial profile because successful songs can generate income through publishing, performance royalties, streaming and licensing.
Blanco’s career has also included business ventures and his own recorded music. His work with some of the world’s biggest artists has given him a long-running source of professional income rather than relying on a single hit.
For readers comparing his fortune with Selena Gomez’s, estimates for Gomez vary substantially. Bloomberg previously placed her wealth at about $1.3 billion, largely because of her stake in Rare Beauty, while Forbes published a considerably lower estimate of about $700 million in 2025. Those differences demonstrate why celebrity net-worth figures should not be presented as precise financial facts.
The most responsible current description is that Blanco is a multimillionaire with an estimated fortune around $50 million, while the exact amount is not publicly verified.
Benny Blanco Gay Rumors and Sexuality
Searches for “benny blanco gay” appear regularly online, but there is no reliable basis for presenting speculation about his sexuality as fact.
Blanco has publicly been married to Selena Gomez since September 2025. However, marriage alone does not establish a person’s sexual orientation, and it would be inappropriate to infer an identity from rumors, photographs, jokes or online commentary.
There is no need to assign Blanco a sexual orientation that he has not publicly and reliably identified himself as having. Readers should distinguish between confirmed biographical information and internet speculation.
His public career and relationship history are well documented, but that does not make every claim about his private identity accurate.
Benny Blanco’s Work Beyond Music
Blanco has expanded his creative interests beyond conventional record production. He has released his own music, developed record-label businesses and explored food and entertainment projects.
His interest in cooking became particularly visible through his cookbook Open Wide, which reflected his enthusiasm for food, hosting and bringing people together.
He has also appeared in entertainment projects and podcasts, allowing audiences to see more of his personality than they might through traditional music credits.
This broader career helps explain why Blanco has become a recognizable celebrity in his own right rather than remaining solely a behind-the-scenes songwriter.

The couple’s first wedding anniversary falls on September 27, 2026, making September an important milestone in their relationship.
At the same time, Blanco’s professional identity remains firmly rooted in music. His extensive production and songwriting catalog continues to be the primary reason for his success, while his marriage to Gomez has brought a much wider audience to his personal story.
