Pokémon Go 'Stadium Sights' Event: Soaring into Battle with Flying and Fighting Favorites

Trainers, get ready for an electrifying event! Pokémon Go is gearing up for the “Stadium Sights” celebration from June 1-4, 2024. Coinciding with the highly anticipated Pokémon Go Fest: Sendai, this event promises thrilling experiences with your favorite flying and fighting-type Pokémon.

Event Highlights

Boosted Spawns

During the “Stadium Sights” event, trainers will encounter an increased presence of various flying and fighting-type Pokémon in the wild. Look out for familiar faces like Pidgey, Zubat, Doduo, Gligar, Hitmontop, Meditite, Staravia, Emolga, Mienfoo, Noibat, and the adorable Cutiefly.

Shiny Debut: Emolga

One of the most exciting aspects of this event is the debut of the shiny variant of Emolga, the flying squirrel Pokémon. Trainers will have the chance to encounter and catch this elusive shiny form, adding a rare treasure to their collections.

Egg Hatching Bonuses

To sweeten the deal, trainers will receive 1.5 times the candy and Stardust for hatching Pokémon from eggs during the event period. Additionally, the 7km eggs obtained during this time may hatch the coveted Galarian Farfetch’d, fan-favorite Riolu, and the newly introduced shiny Emolga.

Timed Research: “Glide to Victory”

For those willing to invest $1.99, Niantic offers a special Timed Research titled “Glide to Victory.” This research must be completed before the event ends on June 4 at 8 p.m. local time to claim all rewards.

Timed Research tasks and rewards are as follows:

Step 1 of 1:

  • Hatch an egg (1 Incubator)
  • Explore 5 km (Emolga encounter)
  • Spin 10 PokéStops (Emolga encounter)
  • Catch 20 Pokémon (Emolga encounter)
  • Hatch 3 eggs (Emolga encounter)

Rewards: 1 Super Incubator, an Emolga encounter, 20 Emolga Candy

While the rewards are decent with Incubators and Emolga encounters, the value of this Timed Research may vary, especially for those not particularly interested in Emolga.

Event Field Research Tasks

During the “Stadium Sights” event, trainers can expect the following Field Research tasks upon spinning PokéStops:

  • Catch 5 flying-type Pokémon (Pidgey, Zubat, or Doduo encounter)
  • Explore 2 km (Emolga encounter)
  • Explore 1 km (5 Poké Balls, 2 Great Balls, or 2 Razz Berries)
  • Spin 5 PokéStops (5 Poké Balls, 2 Great Balls, or 2 Razz Berries)

These tasks offer a variety of rewards, including encounters with flying-type Pokémon, the coveted Emolga, and useful items like Poké Balls, Great Balls, and Razz Berries.
