Jennifer Lopez has announced the cancellation of her highly anticipated 30-date US and Canada tour, expressing deep regret to her fans. “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down,” Lopez wrote in her newsletter, “OnTheJLo.”

The tour, set to begin in Orlando on June 26 and end on August 31 in Houston, was Lopez’s first in five years. However, she decided to prioritize spending time with her family. On Friday, a representative from Live Nation confirmed the news to Billboard, emphasizing that Lopez needed time with her children, family, and close friends. Refunds will be issued automatically for tickets purchased via Ticketmaster, while those who bought tickets through third-party sellers should contact their point of purchase for refunds.

Initially announced in February as “This is Me… Now: The Tour,” the event was intended to promote Lopez’s 10th studio album and a Prime Video movie of the same name. By April, the tour had been rebranded to “This Is Me… Live: The Greatest Hits,” a move speculated to address low ticket sales and appeal to fans of Lopez’s entire music catalog. However, Entertainment Weekly clarified that there were no changes to the setlist or the show’s content.

The tour cancellation comes amid increased scrutiny of Lopez’s personal life. Last week, while promoting her film “Atlas” in Mexico City, Lopez shut down a question about her marriage to Ben Affleck, with co-star Simu Liu stepping in to deflect the question. Despite rumors, Lopez and Affleck, who married in June 2022, were recently seen together at Affleck’s daughter Violet’s graduation ceremony.

In her heartfelt message to fans, Lopez promised to make up for the cancellation. “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you, and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”
