A Message to the Fans
Jackson expressed his gratitude and love for his fans in a heartfelt statement: “I’ve been touring for over 30 years — my daughters are all grown, we have one grandchild and one on the way. I’m enjoying spending more time at home. But my fans always show up to have a good time, and I’m going to give them the best show I can for this Last Call.”
He added, “Fans know when they come to my shows, they’re going to hear the songs that made me who I am — the ones they love.”
A Storied Career
Jackson, a three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year, is known for iconic hits such as “Good Time,” “Chattahoochee,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” “Little Bitty,” “Drive (For Daddy Gene),” “Gone Country,” “Remember When,” and “Livin’ On Love.” His accolades include an induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, a Country Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award, and two Grammy Awards, among numerous ACM and CMA awards.
Facing Health Challenges
The 65-year-old singer first announced a limited number of “Last Call” tour dates in 2022, following his public revelation in 2021 that he has been battling Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. This chronic neuropathy disorder affects his ability to move and maintain balance on stage. “There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years. And it’s getting more and more obvious,” Jackson told Today.
Despite these challenges, Jackson remains committed to delivering an unforgettable experience for his fans. “Some of the best times are had right at last call, and this is one last call that you don’t want to miss!” he said.
Don’t Miss the Farewell
Alan Jackson’s farewell tour promises to be a memorable celebration of his storied career. Fans are encouraged to grab their tickets as soon as they go on sale, as this tour marks the end of an era for one of country music’s most beloved artists.
