The iconic Buc-ee’s chain has done it again, opening the world’s largest convenience store in Luling, Texas. This 75,000-square-foot travel center surpasses the previous record-holder in Sevierville, Tennessee, by just 300 square feet. The grand opening on Monday, June 10, marks a significant milestone for Buc-ee’s, known for its extensive amenities and legendary customer service.

Bringing the Legend Back Home
“The new Buc-ee’s Luling will be the largest Buc-ee’s location in the country, bringing the largest Buc-ee’s back where the legend began,” the company stated in a press release. Located just two hours west of Houston, this new store replaces the original Buc-ee’s in Luling, which opened in 2003 as the brand’s first travel center.
What Makes Buc-ee’s Special?
Buc-ee’s has built a reputation for more than just its size. The chain is beloved for its roadside snacks, including BBQ brisket sandwiches and the famous Beaver Nuggets. It also prides itself on offering “the world’s cleanest bathrooms” and featuring the friendliest beaver mascot. The new Luling location maintains these high standards with 120 fuel pumps, over 200 employees, and a vast selection of snacks, meals, and drinks for travelers.

Among them was Mickey Boucher from Houston, who shared her excitement with KVUE, an Austin-based station. “Hospitality has always been a passion that God has given me, and I really feel like Buc-ee’s does that really, really well,” Boucher said. The two-hour drive was a small price to pay for the joy she experienced.
